RESPIRATORY DISEASES (J00-J99)

Diseases of the Respiratory System (J00-J99) were the underlying cause of death for 245 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons in 2014 and accounted for 9.0% of deaths.

Chronic lower respiratory diseases (J40-J47) were the most common respiratory diseases, causing 177 deaths of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons.
